Why I use Cakewalk Sonar X1 Producer
Hi Everyone,
I have been using Sonar X1 for about a 1/2 a year now and I also use VS-700 console with it. I honestly think this is the best combination I have ever used for recording. My first song I completed in about a 1/2 a day using this setup. It was clean, easy, and fun to do.
This page is going to be dedicated to my progress with Sonar X1 and the VS-700 console. I will keep updating this page I do more with it and as I find out more information on how to utilize certain parts of the system. I will also be posting some sample music that I have created with Sonar X1 so you can get an idea of how powerful this system really is.
Can you tell I am having fun yet?
:)

This the first track I completed with Sonar X1
This track was completed in about a half a day and is made up of the following:
Female Vocals are a Midi Synth Track
Drums are partially a sample and partially live audio
All other parts are live Audio played by myself.
One other thing worth mentioning is that I am using Guitar Rig with my guitars. It is an awesome plugin for guitar and gives you lots of options. I will post another article on that at a later date but it is definitely worth checking out.
I hope you like the track but more importantly, I hope you understand from it why I love Sonar X1 and my V-Studio 700.

Here is the same song remixed without vocals
This version of the song, I remixed and removed the female vocals.
The nice thing about Sonar is that doing these kind of things is a breeze. You just simply mute what you do not want and remix and apply effects using a myriad of different tools that are all available either stock with Sonar or as a plugin.

Yes, I am old. At least my daughter says so!
